A Sloooow Train Wreck

That's what this is like watching.  Let's take a walk down memory lane shall we?

Remember Howard Dean, the front runner for President in 2003?  

Remember how "everyone" in "the know" thought that he was "too strident" and "blunt" for prime time?  

Remember how he was an "outsider" and not a very "professional" politician?  

Remember how Dean didn't have the money backers in the Democratic party behind him?  

Remember how we left it to the Iowa pros to guide us, because after all party regulars and "netroots" are stupid and mostly "rabid"?  

Remember how they chose a mainstream, old line, loyal Democrat who had all the right credentials and hairstyle, John Kerry?  

And then,

Remember how we LOST AGAIN despite running against a certifiable idiot?

Oh!

And remember how then the Kos site was a bastion for Dean?

In Ohio, a proxy state for the nation btw, simply substitute Brown for Kerry, Hackett for Dean, and DeWine for Bush.  But unlike 2004, put Kos in the Kerry camp, not the Dean camp.

Maybe the political climate has changed enough to get by with it and Brown actually wins.  But the long term prospects of you Democrats look bleak.  I say "you Democrats" because I am now official an independent.
